Recipe Review:
Did someone ever tell you not to go grocery shopping hungry? Well I hope so because if you do expect to add $20-$40 extra dollars to your total. One day last week when I went shopping hungry I added an extra $12.99 and taxes for the Better Homes & Garden Magazine by the register. The title: 5 Ingredient, 30 Minute Meals. It got me!
The first recipe I choose to make was the Creamy Chicken & Snap Peas. It sounded good but best of all easy and quick!
The recipe was easy to follow and the time frame for cooking was about right. It makes sense the time was not exactly right as we all prep and cook a little different causing the time to vary a little. The one thing that I will be getting on amazon is a steam basket. I’ve needed one for a couple of other recipes and enough is a enough. No more procrastinating I am getting one!
The one item I would have liked to have thought about was to add a starch with it like rice or something. It was funny, I was all excited that I made the dinner and had it all plated for when my husband came home. When I was setting it on the table he and I both noticed at the same time… no starch. Whoops, too late!
All in all, I will keep this recipe to cook again with a few modifications such as topping with Parmesan (as you may see in my photo).
